Philip M. Cohen is widely recognized as the Godfather of the Digital Signage Industry. A true pioneer with over three decades of visionary leadership, he is credited with conceptualizing and commercializing place-based digital media — the foundational concept behind modern digital signage and digital out-of-home (DOOH) networks, particularly in healthcare environments.
Philip has launched and scaled some of the most successful targeted digital television and signage networks in the industry. He was the driving force behind the creation of several groundbreaking networks, including PetCARE TV, Womens HealthCARE TV, KidCARE TV, and America’s Minority Health Network (formerly the African American Medical Network). These networks established new standards for delivering specialized, educational health content directly into waiting rooms, exam rooms, and other point-of-care settings through continuous digital signage playback. Under his leadership, these platforms became trusted sources of practical, medically accurate information for pet owners, women’s health audiences, parents and children, and minority communities.
As Chairman of Care Media Holdings, Philip guided the company’s overall strategy and growth during a pivotal period, further solidifying its position as a leader in place-based healthcare media. He also served as Chairman of the Digital Signage Federation, where he played a key role in advancing industry standards, best practices, and professional development across the digital signage sector.
Philip brings his unparalleled expertise, industry credibility, and proven track record to the launch of the company’s newest networks: PainCARE TV and SeniorCARE TV. He continues to shape the strategic vision, content strategy, network operations, and distribution model, applying the same innovative approach that made his earlier networks highly successful.
Throughout his career, Philip has demonstrated an exceptional ability to identify unmet needs in healthcare communication, develop innovative content delivery systems, and build scalable, profitable media businesses. His deep knowledge of digital signage technology, audience behavior in medical environments, content formatting for loop playback, and healthcare partnerships has consistently delivered measurable results in patient education and brand impact.
Philip’s legendary status in the digital signage industry, combined with his extensive experience launching and operating specialized health-focused networks, positions Care Legacy Media Holdings as a powerful new force in the targeted health and wellness digital signage space.
